Sensible investment. At a time when more are having stay at homes get the business dragged into the north east, with the added bonus of no doubt upsetting Loopy Len a bit more. WDSC as they say

I'm delighted were actually ploughing money into what should be the jewel in the cities crown. So so much potential for any place with a beach, it should have been taken advantage of decades ago.
Loads of coastal places in the UK have been seriously neglected, it’s absolute madness.

The rise of cheap travel abroad and package holidays killed all UK beach resorts. Although they can never promise the favourable weather conditions, it really is time they fought to draw people back to them.

The thickos on Facebook complaining about the tram shelter being demolished.

Everyone hates the council. Not just Sunderland, it seems everyone, everywhere, hates their local council.

People complain the roads are bad. Okay we will do roadworks. People complain there’s traffic, because of roadworks.

People complain there aren’t enough houses. Okay we will build houses. People complain that there’s work going on to build houses.

Repeat ad infinitum, but less than half of them will actually vote. Crackers.
