Could the pitch be lowered?

It applies to everwhere old and new. It cannot be compromised as the club will not get a safety certificate.

PS - I have worked the design on a few Stadiums including our North Stand Extension and Spurs new Stadium plus a few smaller ones.

So you claim that you worked on the design of Spurs new stadium but somehow miraculously missed the glaringly obvious fact that Tottenham’s pitch is vastly closer to the fans than at any similar new stadium builds and then doubled down by mentioning fans wouldn’t be any closer to the pitch at any new stadium than they are at the SOL, which part of the stadium was you actually designing at Tottenham’s new stadium by the way because it certainly didn’t have anything to do with the pitch sitelines etc.😁

Spot on. My own personal opinion is that the SOL was at its best when there was no extension and the 42000 were sell outs

thats just me before anyone jumps up and down.
Its just me! so am i allowed to disagree? Like any other ground the sol is at its best when the team is playing well or when there is something at stake ..so yes the two top seven finishes under Reidy but the Everton and Chelsea games under fat Sam matched any league game under reidy. Its not the size of the ground ,the closeness of the opposition fans but the quality of the game ,its importance and the quality of the fans inside that count

2000-2003 was pretty hard to get a season ticket. my mate got his first one and only 2 together were back row of the north stand upper. regularly sold out.

You can disagree all you want

Thanks!
If we ever had a team capable of challenging top 3, I would not bet against us getting 63k each week.
I sorta agree but have you not seen he hordes of Newcastle fans appearing from under their rock..my oldish neighbour across the road was seen in a black and white top in his garden the other day ...never seen that before in 25 years.... so i guess i would like to test out your theory but sadly its not going to happen unless we get taken over!

Thanks!

Thanks for asking

In the first instance of success - crowds in the high 40-odd thousands would be regular. Sustained success over time would draw the additional 15000+ because the younger generation wouldn't be able to stop themselves getting attached like limpets. After 20 years of sustained success, parliament would relocate to Seaburn.

On the off chance we ever max out the expansion and had nowhere else to go, could we lower the pitch and add another few rows in?

Think about your question. Iam no engineer, but stands are obviously built on a rake. Within a few feet you will be on the pitch.
The only way you can go is up as you can start the new structure further back
Correct. Always thought the pitch was " miles " from the seats. Perhaps this was because the stadium design was cheaper this way rather than having tight corners.
For a relatively modest cost the South Stand could be reprofiled, made higher and steeper but without the extra tier of the North Stand.

You want to go to West Ham
