Could it turn nasty on Tuesday?.

Probably depend on age. Fans who've been going for 30 odd years might be angry, but have seen crap before. Younger fans know top flight times more than anything so are more likely to lash out. Glancing at a relative recent time tells a story.

For fans born this millennium, from the start of the 00/01 season we've spent 14 years in the top flight. And 3 of the years in the second tierwere good seasons, with two wins and a 3rd place with an FA Cup semi final. The last two seasons are well known. Looking at the 19 years before that (81-00) we spent 7 years in the top flight, and 11 in the second tier. Not much good in there as if we weren't getting promotion we were mid table at an absolute best. But more second tier struggles than more recent times when we seemed to yo-yo as being a bit too good for the second tier, but not always good enough to stay in the top flight. We look like we're on a downward spiral rather than just having a normal struggle or a bit of a blip.

I don’t understand people, the “we need to give the new manager time” rubbish... over 500 games managed has proven he isnt a good manager and simply isnt the right man for us. The way he set the team up yesterday was garbage, we need a proper manager in, not some chancer on the cheap.

Almost as mental as the "hopefully we spend in January" line. Some people will never learn.

Wycombe away sounds easy if you've been asleep for couple of years - in reality this was not the game to judge Parkinson on, and we were close to a decent away point. The guy has just taken over, our result arguably better than Ipswich's so let's roll on to Tuesday - I see no grounds for complaint about the new manager as yet.

Lose this one, and that will be 5 points from 6 games, and 3 defeats in a row.

Parkinson will have to overcome the enormous sense of gloom and anger that will descend to find a way to improve the team immediately - if he can't then we will go into the new year worrying about relegation.

It will be a huge challenge for him. A win on Tuesday will be massive for the club.

Going not just by the mood on here but other forums, social media and my interactions with other fans who don’t post on internet you get the feeling something is bubbling to the surface and should we go behind on Tuesday it might just boil ower.

I guess news of the investment might bring a few on side for a bit longer but you definitely get the feeling of an undercurrent of emotions coming to a boil.
No

True fans will get behind the team and new boss PP because they are sensible enough to realise a new boss has to be given time to evaluate the squad and decide on what tactics then to use.

The non attending keyboard stars aren't worth a light so I wouldn't waste a second of my life thinking about them.
Correct mate

Only if a large group of really f***ing stupid people fancy 'turning it nasty ' and potentially scaring away the American investment.

I hope people can wait until the outcome of that deal first.

What sort of a crowd do people expect 27k

I think it'll be read out as 28000, but there'll be about 24/25000 in the ground. We've got about 24000 season card holders so they're always read out but obviously some kids won't be able to go with it being midweek, and I think quite a few exiles might give it a miss, there'll be a few season card holders not there. Still be a mint attendance for Tranmere at home when we're 10th in the third tier like!

We sit in the East Stand ...and unfortunately it won't take much for some folk in our vicinity to start moaning/groaning etc ...They do it almost every game...even when the result and performance is in our favour.

We need that bloke off the radio yesterday in the dressing room. He'd sharp tell them.

Then threaten them with the screechy wifey if they underperform.

I was stood next to him, early 20s I reckon. Felt a bit for Barnes and Bennett as he was leaning right over them to his points over. The screeching wifey was fun though. Had I not driven and been on the beers instead I'm fairly sure I would have been more vocal.

Fortunately real fans go to the match and they are on the reasonable and can put things in perspective.
i think we are getting to the point where a bruce out vs wigan is coming, no evidence of course but just a feeling.

made those underpants in your name permanently wet through pissing yourself
