Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Themes explored in the book include madness, futility and a growing sense of dead, so if you are a season ticket holder could be right up your street.

There is a Sunderland connection as Conrad was a sailor for a time on the Sunderland built Torrens.

A good opportunity to catch up on reading. Any suggestions of book titles to fill the void?
