Cost of materials moaning thread.

Time we lumped them all into one thread.

MDF just a minor increase of 20% next month compared to OSB going up 30%.

Nee lorry drivers , brexit , Covid or just plain profiteering call it what you want.
 


You know what we do have a distinct lack of? Tradesmen with interpersonal skills. They should address that shortfall first.

Surprised any of them have time to post on here, they're always too busy to do anything else.
 
I tell ye what has went up.

Flipping gas and electricity costs. Cheapest I could find was approximately 30% more expensive than the previous 12 months.

That was using Uswitch anorl.
 
You’re now wrong on steel prices. We’ve been affected mid project and costs have escalated week on week. No sign it’s going to subside anytime soon either.

It's a nightmare, any site where we've agreed a fixed price a while back is losing money even if nothing goes wrong. We've been told by the stockholders to expect increases each month for the rest of the calendar year.
