Cost of food items rocketing

Morrisons, I think are ramping up prices faster than most. cannot be sure though.

I like my strawberry Skyr yoghurt for breakfast and it was £1 in tesco at the beginning of the year, it then jumped to £1.25, was in morrisons the other night and it was £2.

Same over here. The thing that really boils my piss is that you know some of the stuff on the shelves has been there a while, but they still ram the price up.
The store owners don’t give a toss, they just want to keep profits up and keep shareholders happy.

Can’t blame the war. This started happening at the start of 2021 long before Putin invaded Ukraine.

A lot of it is born out of greed imo.

Ukraine are a massive exporter of various foodstuff. Russia export quite a bit of wheat also iirc. The price of oil and gas also effects the price of importing, refining and distributing food. It's had a massive impact.
