Cops son avoids jail for drug driving twice

They didn’t really report on how the two blokes were killed in the first story so can only assume he was completely blameless.

I googled it after reading the story. Seems the blokes were crossing the road in dark clothes and they suggested he’d only have had 1 second to react and therefore not at blame. He propbably was driving like an idiot given he was a stoned 17 year old in a powerful car and sounds like a little twat to begin with but no evidence to support it

Yep. Probably been given everythings hes wanted all his life. No doubt his parents have so much shame and probably cut their careers short. Sent the wrong message when they paid his original fine

Cops fault then. Or empowered by this imaginery lodge you speak of. Grow up
No need for petty insults mate, you have your opinions and i have mine.

So you dont think things like this are a reason for the anti- police rhetoric ?, i would honestly expect any young lad having been caught drug driving twice and dealing to expect some porridge, perhaps they are waiting until he ploughs into someone else while off his face 1st.
Would you be as angry if his parents worked for Tesco? Or a miner? Or owned a takeway? Why should someone not working for the police in any way whatsoever committing a crime contribute to anti-police rhetoric?

It is completely irrelevant what his parents do for a living (or used to do even) other than click bait and stirring up hatred of an entire industry which our media are great at doing. As highlighted by this thread and posts on it

Of course i would be as angry, i personally feel anyone who gets behind the wheel while under the influence of anything should be punished heavily not let off twice, can almost guarentee the dickhead will do it again.

Well firstly it would not even be in the news if he wasn't a police officers on. We dont see headlines of 'son of tesco worker convicted again'. Or son of man who never worked in his life convicted again. The headline is out of order.

And equally I can not imagine you posting "you don't see why this story contributes to the anti supermarket worker rhetoric" like you said for the police in your post.

Probably not but thats by the by, the paper printing the article clearly feels the fact hes the son of 2 coppers is newsworthy, whether thats because they feel theres been some influence exerted to get him off or to highlight that being the son of 2 cops he should have known better i dont know, as i said earlier in the thread i would expect if i was caught twice for drug driving, dealing drugs and committing insurance fraud i would be banged up.
