Doesn't surprise me. One of the reasons I don't make my own Yorkshire puds is because of the smell of the fat in the tins is horrendous. Usually have a door open for the cats to come and go and to eliminate cooking smells anyway. Nothing worse.

Stopped doing that a few years back. Not the hassle, but the stench of hot fat makes me feel ill. I used to go for Sunday lunch to my Mam's and everytime I got home I could smell it on my clothes. Mind, my Dad always did say my nose was too big.

All this domestic pollution is the very smell that causes menfolk returning from the pub on a Sunday lunchtime to exclaim to each other "By Jove Old Sport, there's nothing quite like coming in to a Sunday dinner!! Just smell that roast, that gravy! The cabbage!!! The Yorkshires!!!!
Just had a canny roast in The Kings Head Lanchester. Not bad considering its in Mag Country.
But consider the womenfolk!! They love preparing a Sunday dinner for their families. It gives them fulfilment and deep satisfaction. And the washing up is the cream on the cake for them.
Men love the pub, women love their kitchens.

Must be trying to catch the chicken in the back yard for it to take 4hrs.
Bang a chicken in for a hour and a half and do the other stuff in that time, eat it slow and take 91mins to justify making it
