Be over the moon if we sign him, would instantly improve us in midfield. Experienced championship midfielder and don’t think he’ll be asking much to come as he’d get a decent signing on fee. People turning their noses up at him are mental.
and vwho pays the signing on fee?

Its a good time to get promoted to this league i think

Its not great and a lot of teams aren’t really spending like previously. Well apart from the teams that could down and possibly boro when they sell djed spence
Totally agree mate. A few clubs are financially a mess, because of the fair play rules. We are coming up with a pretty low wage bill, and some promising younger players, it's like a blank canvas really.

Can't see a spending spree in terms of fees, but I think the money will be there for smart additions.

does he not play in pritchards position rather the positions of the majority of those you have highlighted?
I don‘t think he plays the number ten role or as high as Pritchard in other set ups.

I‘d also overlooked his successful spell at Swansea on loan under the tutorship of Steve Cooper.

Forest might be a good shout for him if Cooper still rates him.

All leagues are crackers, surviving in owa 1st season up would be a good season, we were lucky to finish top 6 of the league below, which is a far worse standard
Blackpool managed 60 points losing 18 games, that’s 19 points ahead of reading who finished fourth bottom and they finished sixteenth, they only amassed 80 points in League One the season before to our 84, with the resources we will have and Alex Neil in charge we can finish much higher than sixteenth.

Which resources? With returning loanees we are weaker atm
We’ll be nowhere near the relegation zone
I hope not, but safety is the aim this season

Looking at just safety is a massive underachieving target for a club this size this is a league Luton and Barnsley have gone close in the past couple of seasons ffs and Blackpool finished well comfortable

Speakman has already said we will be investing in the squad, we’re in a very good place financially, a lot better than 60% of the teams in the Championship, I am a lot happier with the current setup and am very confident they will get the right players in, whether that is permanent or on loan.

At the time he was hot property with Man Utd keen to sign him as a young lad in Cork. Roy Keane went over to his parents house and signed him for Sunderland. He played in the youths. After Keane left he soon after went to Barnsley where he eventually flourished and Villa signed him.
Not totally correct. Peter Reid gave him a trial at Argyle and signed him. Barnsley then signed him from us

He's an upgrade on all our midfielders.

I haven't seen much of him tbf, but just because he's decent doesn't mean he's a good fit for the team. Craig Gardner will have no doubt been better than what we have but he wouldn't fit into our side imo, same could be said for a lot of midfielders.

I think he could comfortably play in the Evans role
