Be over the moon if we sign him, would instantly improve us in midfield. Experienced championship midfielder and don’t think he’ll be asking much to come as he’d get a decent signing on fee. People turning their noses up at him are mental.

Who else is going to pay him that?
No one he obviously won't get anywhere near that if he doesn't get another premier League club but the likes of Celtic, rangers, Norwich Watford Bournemouth notts forest would be able to pay him more than we can imho

He's been out on loan the last 2 seasons and not one of those clubs wanted him though
EDIT
Saying that I forgot about Dean Smith being at Norwich

Wages wages wages wages, should’ve signed him 2014-2017 at Barnsley/Preston.
I would imagine he'd be on at least 30,000 a week I can't see him dropping to what we would likely offer
40k I believe although not 100%, we had a look 18 months ago, I’m glad we didn’t sign him

People saying nor😂😂😂😂
If we could sign players of his stamp that'd be toppa, unfortunately I don't think we would pay that kind of wage.

If we stay up this year it's a good season, some expecting us to sign world class players need to give there heed a shake, scraped the play offs in l1

I don’t agree that just staying up is a good season

And I’m quite a realistic reasonable fan

That’s the exact lack of ambition that’s plagued the club the last 4 years

We have to be more ambitious, no way you’d be a happy fan if we finished 21st

People just aren’t being honest

Reading stayed up and lost 25 games….. 25! There’s no way that’s success for Sunderland like sorry

1st season up, yes it is, consolidation. We don't have the backing to go up and go up again, stay up, build on that, then in a couple of years we will hopefully be in a position with a squad we have built to challenge, need to stop relying on loans anarl

Going up then trying to stay up next year is way different from going down and trying not to go again.

Doesn't everybody think they are a realistic reasonable fan?

If we scrapped survival I just don’t agree that’s a successful season like

25 defeats

No chance

There’s is an in between promotion and just staying up you know

You mis understand if you think you can consolidate in the championship like it’s a crackers league

All leagues are crackers, surviving in owa 1st season up would be a good season, we were lucky to finish top 6 of the league below, which is a far worse standard

He’d be a very good addition.

In O’Nien, Matete, Embleton and Winchester we have midfield options we hope will make the step up and look like accomplished championship players but this lad already ticks that box.
does he not play in pritchards position rather the positions of the majority of those you have highlighted?

Totally agree

Theres a reason we are already 7th favourites to go up (not that i think we will)

We wont be in a relegation scrap imo-

Aye also mid table is a million miles away from just staying up, which wouldn’t be a success

Wil repeat that losing 25 games would be a miserable season, nobody could say that’s success surely

I'm not as doom and gloom as some, I think we'll stay up comfortably. That said, the reason we're 7th favourites to go up will be because we have the most fans, and we have probably been heavily backed into that position.

Its a good time to get promoted to this league i think

Its not great and a lot of teams aren’t really spending like previously. Well apart from the teams that could down and possibly boro when they sell djed spence
