Superb is somewhat of an exaggeration.

Superb in comparison to the lack lustre performances of recent weeks IMO.

I thought he looked really strong in the air, on the ground, the work rate was great and he was defending from the front.
Some of the flicks and link up play was outstanding, could see his confidence building through the game.

I'll allow him the scuffed shot (the chance he made for himself early on) as he's only 19 and hasn't been allowed enough chances. He still really impressed me today and gave me some more optimism as to where the goals will come from to get us these points.

Also, that elbow from david luiz was ridiculous, you could see him, one eye over his shoulder ready to swing. SCUM.

Looked superb today, some great touches and ball retention, should've been playing all season.

The vast majority of this board were calling him worse than shite at the start of the season and didn't want him anywhere near the team. Mind, our desperation levels are soaring now. I really like the lad, always have, he'll be a very good top flight footballer all his career (except maybe next season if the worse happens.) in my opinion.

Surely "looked alright" would be more accurate?

Never looked dangerous, and barely looked capable of creating a chance. Didn't bully the centre halves at all.

Frankly, that's not good enough - he needs to improve.

How did Luiz get away with the elbow??

Red and white blinkers off...

I dont think it was a deliberate elbow. It was never anything but an accident. Right decision.

Connor will come good playing next to a quick goalscorer. That's the problem. He is more of a link man because his hold up play is superb. He has 2 good feet too.

Yet another Premier league game goes by without him looking anything like a threat to the oppositions goal.

A few shoulder charges on the halfway line doesn't make him a decent forward.

if sess had squared early on it'd have been a different story

was never going to happen

He's a far better player than Graham. I had been trying to convince myself that the latter had something about him (because of my stupidly uncritical support of O'Neill) but the more I think about it, I don't believe he bought that plodder for £5 million. Ultimately one of the decisions that got him sacked I think - can't imagine Short enjoyed seeing so much of his money tied up in that lumbering sack of shite.

 Luiz knew what he was doing. Blatant elbow

they are off and it looked deliberate. if he hadn't took a look to see where CW was you could get away with accidental but he looked and then the elbow came out.

Lightweight for his size, although has improved since I first saw him. Im certainly not going to rely on him to get us out of shit. He will get bullied out of game against skunks if he starts

He's 19. He occupied two of the best international defenders in the league (one of whom they signed for nigh on £30m if you want to use transfer fee as a barometer of how good a player should be) on his own for a decent amount of the game. He's definitely not shite!!

He is a thoroughly average (and im being kind) player who wouldn't get a start for any other Premier League club.

Yes he's strong, yes he can hold it up, but he looks the square root of f***ing awful in terms of actually putting the ball in the net.

Sorry, but he just isn't up to it and I see nothing in him to suggest he ever will at this level.

Hes 6ft 4 and about 14 stone ffs, is the least we should expect

He offers zero goal threat, f***ing right waste of money
We still didn't create much and what we dd came from his build up play, he can't build up the play, play people in and then finish the chances.
