You're trying to get players confident, into form and settle into a new club it's unlikely to help him much.

Because he's been played out of position, even when he played on the right it was at wing back (just like Hume). Put him at RB and Hume at LB and things will look a lot more balanced.

Square pegs in round holes rarely works.

He was the most Sunderland-esque signing we could’ve made tbf. I do wonder what our scouts do all year. He’s an absolute cart horse who has no pace and can’t trap a bag of cement. I thought maybe he’s one of them old school full backs (at a time when full backs have never been so dynamic) but nah he can’t even defend. So god knows. Our scouts don’t even have to go far and wide, we played everyone in League One twice last season, there’s better prospects all over the division than this lad.

dont think anyone is claiming he will be the next bardo, its just that ross has sacrificed him for tactical and crap recruitment reasons.

millwall wouldnt let him go if he was decent, but maybe he can turn it around with us. he wont do it playing left back, thats for sure
