Simply I am looking forward to being able to look forward to all things Sunderland. At the moment I am on expectation hold.

Seriously sick of the Premiership, sick of the c unts who have been stealing a living from our club, sick of the disgusting transfer fees paid for mediocre players with zero heart, sick of knowing that every season was going to be another survival battle with the only highlights being the inevitable double over the scum and tbh even that go so easy it was boring.

This relegation is a massive opportunity for our club to rid itself of the those who have taken the piss out of us for years and to decide what its identity is and pursue that identity. Southampton were in league one in 2010 and yet are light years ahead of us now. They had a plan, they created a philosophy and identity and they carried it through. Most of the Prem outside the top 6 would love to be Southampton now.

Sunderland is broken but all the pieces are there and we are light years ahead of where Southampton were in 2010. I for one cant wait for the new season, I cant wait to see the youngsters getting blooded, kids that will genuinely bust a gut for this club, cant wait to see hungry players turning out every week rather than self absorbed toss pots like Borini et al.

Top and bottom of it is, a Sunderland side doing well in the Championship will be a far better Saturday afternoon than a Sunderland side getting thumped yet again by a side like Bournemouth, Watford etc. Might even get me and the lad our first season tickets
Good post in the main matey but Southampton are losing what made them what they are.

Ive more chance to go to more games so its a silver lining. Plus Moyes wont be there so we may try and win some games.

I'm not looking forward to it. Watched the odd Championship match on tv last season and it looks shite. The standard is absolutely awful. The quality of the Play off final on Monday, between 2 of the so called best teams wouldn't have looked out of place in a Sunday League fixture.

I know we've been crap for a while now but at least in the Premier League you get the chance to see some real top class players, even if they are playing for the opposition. The thought of watching us go head to head with other shit teams in a half empty stadium holds little appeal to me.

Hopefully we appoint an inspiring manager who can inject a bit of enthusiasm back into me because the last few years have drained it all.
Imagine typing that

If you want to watch decent quality of players "even if they play for the opposition" then support someone else as we haven't had quality players playing for us in years. I personally couldn't give a fuck who plays for the opponent I just want Sunderland to win. That's what makes me happy.

I take it those who are 'sick of the PL' didn't celebrate wildly last year when we beat Chelsea and Everton to stay in the PL.
f***ing hell :lol::lol:

The biggest problem is if you want to progress eventually you have to start signing that type of fucker again. Money has truly fucked football

I think if we find ourselves in that position again (i.e. newly promoted) we have to find an alternative way of progressing, which would involve continuing the policy of buying young hungry players and not paying them stupid wages.

Put the club in a financial position where relegation is not an unthinkable disaster and then you can afford to take risks by continuing t0 build a team with young players.

Me anarl just want the new manager in now to start the rebuild!
Cant wait for some cracking awaydays. Hoping theres good crowds still at the sol.

We're going to enjoy quite a few victories in this league but if we don't bounce back first time they'll mean just about nowt. The longer we're in this shit league, without the club being sold, the more shit players we'll sign.Boro will be strong next season and probably Hull.Throw in Sheffield Wed,Derby and Reading and we'll have a very competitive league.

But if you win those scrappy matches you won't feel so bad. It'll just be when both teams are an awful and Sunderland lose that it'll feel like a complete waste of time.

True, but it'll only be fun if we actually are winning games and finish in and around the top 2.

Anything other than promotion will piss us off come next May.There'll be even less money for transfers if we don't go up.

You know these lads who want to watch quality players. Don't they have Sky or BT Sport? And if they want to watch them live, just pop over to Manchester City, they can get a cheap season ticket (as long as they don't care where they sit) and they'll get to watch quality players every other weekend.

I want to get behind the players who represent my club, I would watch them play against cloggers in the Evostick Premier if that's where they were.
