Concept Albums

Southern rock opera - drive by truckers
Deltron 3030 - deltron
Tricks of the shade - the goats

Some recent ones (well 21st century and not yet mentioned):
The last couple of albums The Lumineers have released have been quite 'concepty' (conceptish? :lol).

III is in three parts concerning three members of a family hit by drug addiction, gambling etc.

The last album Brightside is a bit looser in concept, but ties together really well. It's sort of a narrative without a narrative.

They can get a bit samey in their sound, but they spin a good yarn in their songwriting. I like 'em.

Kilroy Was Here by Styx was a concept album and I think Paradise Theatre was too.

Kansas - In The Spirit of Things.

Moving away from prog rock: ‘Wheelhouse’ by Brad Paisley is a concept album. Sort of. Here’s a track. The videos crap.

(subversive much, me eh?)

Never even heard of that before. Very canny. Just skimmed it, thus far but I'll certainly be giving it a proper listen, in the car later.
You won't be disappointed mate. Good review and background story here.
