Picolax is the better if you have a choice, Moviprep is just torture.I had one the other month and just had the gas and air. It was the moviprep palaver that was the worst. Purposely didn’t have the sedation as didn’t wanna miss out on the guided tour of my bowels
Had it done at the Nuffield! Look at me etc!

They didn't give me it, but there was a nice young nurse pandering to my needs at the top end, especially when my eyes wateredShe even wiped my bottom afterwards
I found that totally off putting . There she was chatting away about life and f***ing Jason or whoever he was, was sticking a hose pipe up me arse

Picolax is almost citrusy, and about half a pint tops for both doses. Moviprep is salty and is almost 2 pints per dose.
Picolax rings a bell, so I reckon that's what I had.

Ah cheers it was the Picolax which I had.
A delayed reaction when I took it, but it did the trick . . . eventually.

Picolax was so quick and effective for me, Moviprep took over 6 hours to start working, even then it certainly wasn't explosive.

They told me they found nothing but I’d been so worried I barely slept for a week beforehand.

I just took what was given. My colonoscopy was for an afternoon so had to drink the stuff the night before and was up the next morning about half 6 necking it.
The only think about the procedure that knacked for me was when they were going around the bends and pumping in carbon dioxide

Don't be. I had it done and it's a fuck on and but thought of it is worse than the reality. By the time you have to go through this shite it'll be something even easier.

Iron deficiency. They were checking for bleeding. Above and below on the same morning. Above was definitely more uncomfortable but even then not too bad.

Not sure when my next one is. I went into remission last year but then the crohns flared up again when I went on HRT. I'm on my fourth HRT medication and I haven't reacted to this one, so hopefully once I've had my op, it'll all settle back down and I'll go back into remission.
