Jesus, haven't been for ages . It's lovely like.Could do, 11 quid for a fish lot sitting in on ocean road
It was the first fish shop to publish where/when/what ship the fish was caught so you know how fresh it is. That was a gamechanger for me.Never understood the hype about Colemans......its good but not as great as people make out.
New place looks interesting and its opening the same weekend a s the So Shields food festival so might get a lot of business

Do they change what halfway through service. I honestly have no idea what there is to be sceptical of tbh.Do you believe it? Do they change it half way through service or do they get just enough off a boat to do a full service? I really hope it's real but I'm sceptical.

Its pretty simple stock management to be fair. All good restaurants do the same so it was amazing to see a chippy doung it imo. They tell you what boats the fish of today was bought from, update it when they buy more and when they run out of a fish they take it off the menu. Sometimes there's 5 or 6 boats listed. If they say the fish comes off X boat what when that supply runs out, do they change a black to now say it comes from boat b? I really hope it's all as it seems.

My brother in law works there and reckons they can be buying in 3 or 4 lots in a day. He's worked in restaurants all his life and has nothing but praise for colmans. That tremendous, having been in the restaurant trade there is a lot of bollocks spouted, it's great to hear it's been done correctly.

Its amazing how many people in shields are bitter about the place. Its the price of being successful i suppose.
I paid £12 for a chicken burger & chips in a Beefeater yesterday and it was a disgrace, so it's all relative.Could do, 11 quid for a fish lot sitting in on ocean road
I would rather pay £11 for an average fish and chips to be fair.I paid £12 for a chicken burger & chips in a Beefeater yesterday and it was a disgrace, so it's all relative.
Me da always knew it as Ghandi's Temple.
They should have opened an Indian and called it Ghandi's Flip Flop instead.
I can't fault it personallyI've never been, I really must go.
