Bang average. Could have been worse no doubt but was hoping for better. Stock much lower than 16 months ago, modest domestic record.

Would have preferred:

Karanka
Heckingbottom
Mi ONeill

But better than the likes of McCoist, Lee Clark etc. Will give him my full support though should he get it.

Papers say coleman is unlikely to be interested, looks like the club are trying to look active without actually doing anything. Its all pa ving the way for ally to walk into the job.

And can you tell me where exactly the club have said he is? It's all pure speculation based on odds at a bookies, it has fuck all to do with the club. You're just looking for an excuse to have a go.

I'd take Colesy tbf done a decent job with the Welsh

Not really in the last 16 months though. Finished behind a modest Irish side who we saw get thrashed the other day. Only won 2 of his 8 games vs Georgia, ROI, Austria and Serbia, missing out on the playoffs despite being top seeds in the group. Obviously did well before that but massively carried by Bale.

Best manager linked with us by a mile. As ive said on a different thread, woupd be perfect bringing through some youth and getting those players back playing as a team .. . .. yet hes still crap in alot of your eyes. . . . Who the hell do you think we are going to attract.
Im sute hes been offered a nice 2 year deal with aim this year of stopping up maybe top half then a few quid for a promotion push.
Hes only gunna take the job if he is given money. . . Win win

If I was him I’d bide my time until Swansea bullet Clement in a couple of weeks and he’ll get that job no bother.

I think I would have had them qualified if bale was available, he is injured a lot though.

This exactly. Or, if he wants to wait a bit there will be some good jobs at some well ran clubs in the championship coming up no doubt.

People saying not to take Coleman need a reality check of where and what we are at the moment!!

Remember the calibre of manager who has just been sacked. Why would any good manager want to come to a club on the slide without a pot to piss in who sack their managers every season???

Coleman has managed at struggling clubs before with a not so great record but clearly improved and learned as he's gone on.

The reality is we are only gonna attract managers who think bottom of the championship is actually a step up in their career ffs!! Ideally we would like Ancelloti throwing his name into the hat but that's just not where we are and who we can attract. IMO, we could, and PROBABLY WILL, do a lot worse than Coleman

He had Wales organised and working as a team which is what we are desperate for atm

There's people on here dismissing absolutely everyone who might realistically take the job. We're bottom of the Championship and penniless ffs.
I think Coleman would be a decent appointment. I think with most managers it's whether they fancy us rather than the other way around at the moment.
Bale carried him look how they have done since the euros he did ok at Fulham but awful at Coventry
