Coleman's Odds are plumetting

My current categorization of candidates is this:

Coleman, Karanka, Garcia: Reasonably pleased given our current state and hopeful they can sort us out.

Hurst, Hekingbotttom: Far from convinced they are what we need or have the experience to turn things around but willing to give them a chance.

McCoist: Absolutely convinced he's garbage and furious with the club for allowing the "jobs for the boys" culture to persist.

Tidied.

His record in England isn't great. The little bit he did have with Fulham was a while back. Yes he did well with Wales but he had a star man and they took their chance on the big stage. Not sure that's the best yardstick for a struggling Championship club..

Tbh I think he may just be using this as a bargaining tool for Wales as he has meetings with them to extend his contract. That seems an ideal job for him.

Coleman just seems like an incredible risk. Did great maintaining the momentum with Wales, but the squad was in amazing shape and having someone like Gareth Bale essentially in a free role is pretty handy.
Plus why would he come here? Surely he hasn't left Wales yet because of ongoing contract bumps

The same thought crossed my mind, however he isn't likely to ever achieve more with Wales than he already has so I'm not sure staying is good for his career long term. A few more failed qualifying campaigns and he'd get sacked with much poorer prospects.

As it is he's repaired his rep with Wales and he may feel it's the ideal time to get back into club management.

True but rarely do managers time it right when leaving a job. They will never again reach the SF of a major tournament - for that he deserves praise. On that argument he should have left after Euro 2016 but that would never happen.

I just think his stock his high doing what he's doing, he's a proud Welshman, less stress of a tough day to day job and might not fancy upheaval of changing. But if he acts interested in SAFC it panics the Welsh FA and things get blown out of proportion. Then he goes into the contract talks in a strong position. New deal and more money = job done for him.

I hope its not Coleman as I put £20 on McCoist when he was out at 12-1

William hill has Coleman 1-8 on, must be some heavy money on him.
