But hows about dying your hair or wearing a wig cos it clashes with the red n white stripes.

Colback is a decent enough squad player. He can have some really good games and some really bad games. He is no world beater, he doesn't offer much of a goal threat and whilst I would personally hope that we do keep him, I wouldnt lose any sleep if he did leave because I think he is certainly replaceable.

He had a cracking game yesterday, I feel a lot safer when he has the ball and you know he'll find a team mate. Shields the ball great and never has to dive in to tackles, I'm still baffled why he can't be doing the job Bridcutt apparantly does for us.

I'm not going to let a few good games at the end of the season blind me though, far to many of our players have been average for far to long. I'd like him to stay but won't lose any sleep if he departs, just as I'll not if a number of them leave.

Players have come and gone from this club for over a 100 years, he'd just be another of a long list....

Only footballing midfielder we have. Helps us keep possession (which is what poyet wants) and had been out best player when we've really needed players to step up of late. Can also fill in on the left side. Its a no brainer to want to keep him in our squad.

cracking game.

can he maintain it next time?

Well he has maintained it since Chelsea, which is maintained from the city game....

Put yourself in Colbacks position.

Been on shit wages compared to the rest of the team and imports like Altidore. Gives his all every week and can move for a massive signing on fee.

May not want to move at all but just wants parity with other players and the greatest motivation is to say you are going to your arch rivals for nothing.

Puts more external pressure on the board to give him a decent deal. Its just hard-ball negotiating.

His balls nearly dropped when he had to do anything productive with the ball

Proper sideways merchant and can fuck off for all i care

Like when he drove at them first half and won a free kick?

Like when he fired a ball across for Borini to force a save from Marshall?

Easily our best player and gave us the foothold in midfield to dictate play.

Arguably his best performance for us apart from SJP.

Anyone else not think giacc should get a bit of praise, was involved with both goals at city, looked good at chelsea, goal and an assist today
I think coming off the bench against tired legs is perfect for him atm like. Like you say, done very well the last 2 games, just hope he can be more consistent.

Ki isn't ours. Cattermole and larsson aren't so who else?
Cattermole was sprayin balls around all day yesterday man.

He sprayed two or three about ten yards out of play!

And regardless, we all know that cattermole types aren't classed as footballing midfielders, even if the spray the odd pass. His game is mainly about high energy, closing down, breaking up the play etc.

Footballing midfielders tend to have a brain ;) (and before you pile in, I like cattermole being in there).

He makes far more forward/attacking passes than any other midfielder by a mile. He's our main playmaker if anything.
I like both of them tbh but it's bollocks saying Catts isn't a footballing midfielder like.

He was very good but so were Larsson and Cattermole. Thought Larsson was the better of the 3 personally.

A true footballer can receive, control, protect and safely move the ball on. This is the same for any similar sport at top level.
The main difference is the higher the level the faster the ball comes and opponent pressure is far more intense. This is the very simple reason that players/sportsmen find the level they can do these basics at the required percentage success rate.
If you've ever tried to take the ball off a top footballer or sportsman it's almost impossible. You'd be lucky to even see the f**king thing, and that's if you're half decent yourself.

Colback looks more comfortable with these basic skills whereas Cattermole shows flaws in some as the pressure increases.
Anyway, i won't bash Cattermole, he's contributed in is own way recently and deserves to start.

Larsson is every bit a footballing midfielder as Colback.

Seriously? Larsson doesnt have the touch, ability to get out of a tight spot or composure on the ball as colback. Larssons main attribute these days is work rate.

Soz moo, if you're describing cattermole is a footballing midfielder then we best leave it here
