Club up for sale?

Here’s the thing. KLD is proving to himself and his family that he’s taking his dad’s football legacy forward. He’s bought English footballs sleeping giant which was languishing in the 1 st Division and managed that club back to the Premier and a Europa cup campaign. All this in a very short period. The potential is absolutely massive both for KLD and the club. The club, owners , players and supporters are driving the club forward. What a time to be alive man!

I think that Echo article seems pretty on the money about the issue. KLD would be daft to not consider offers that may be come forward but I'd be surprised if a massive offer comes in all of a sudden that makes him give up a controlling stake.

He doesn't give the impression of someone who is looking for an imminent sale, certainly not for a reduced price.

As fans, in this day and age of SCR the having savvy owners (like KLD) is arguably more important than having wealthy owners. See Chelsea as an example of how to get it badly wrong with lots of money compared to what KLD managed with far less.

In that context I'd far rather stick with KLD than some mystery wealthy buyer(s). If he does sell though I really hope we are smart enough to understand the importance of having good decision makers higher up and off the pitch (Ghisolfi etc). KLD knows football and appointed very well but that has to continue regardless of who owns the club.
