Club statement required re Ticket Office

Sounds like the staffing at the club is running below skeleton crew levels.

Something obviously not right there as I remember reading about two long term staff members just walking out....think it was the same week Defoe left?

When you're talking numbers of 30/40k a week, you should really have the support staff in place to be on hand for any problems that occur.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but it does relate to the ticket office in a way. I bought a ticket online on Sunday. It gives me two options on the email, either print it off or download digitally. Seeing as I don't own a printer I want a digital copy. Problem is, when I go to the download link it just brings up Google wallet with the message "something went wrong. Please try again" and it's been this way all week. I emailed the ticket office on monday for some help but to no suprise I'm still waiting for an answer. This thread probably explains why. Has anyone else had this issue or know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
Pretty sure I had that issue a while ago. I had to make the browser on my phone google chrome before it would download to my google wallet. Been fine since I did this.

Yep, ya right. Twiasting about it on here achieves nothing.
Seriously mate, people aren't twisting, we have issues with wanting to attend and support the club. No-one is merely having a pop at the club, they want to support it financially and vocally on Sunday but are finding it difficult to do so.
This is a message board to discuss all things SAFC and this particular issue has not occured previously in my time of attending

Totally agree, the club just doesn’t help itself, whilst I am sure it’s unintentional, you cannot get your head round as to why it operates the way it does.
It is intentional really though. By doing nothing they clearly think their arrangements are satisfactory. It's not like they could say any of this was unexpected.

We are definitely seeing the impact of the cost cutting that went on under SD and CM.

I fully get it will take time to get a new kit deal/lines of merchandise back into the club shop; but it shouldn’t take long to get the ticketing side back up and running.

They’ve had weeks to train staff

Assuming they've been able to recruit.

You're a regular on the piss poor service threads. Never very supportive.
Ffs man , people are being treat like crap and you are trying to defend it? Mate of mine queued for 2 hrs yesterday , fells in front of him , when he got to the counter asked for 3 disabled tickets in SW corner , the girl said “ sorry none left , next !!! “ no , would you like seats elsewhere or is there anything else I can do for you ? Only 3 members of staff on , it’s a shambles.

That atm is my problem

No money taken out of my bank, no answer to emails or anyone answering telephone calls...

It's a frigging joke...
Exactly the same here mate. No idea if I'm going to be getting in on Sunday.

Its not just the money for mine and my daughter's season tickets (though she has received a renewal email, I haven't) its the fact I would be buying 4 pints for myself and the step-fatha whilst there and likely a hotdog or something with it being a lunchtime kickoff. All in all, they're missing out on about £150 from me alone (and how many others?). I'm glad they can afford to.

What an idiotic response. I support Sunderland too but can’t seemingly get into the ground having paid £500 for a season ticket.

You think not being able to get in the ground is just ‘far from ideal’?
Of course it's far from ideal. I said the situation isn't good. It just seems there's as many threads complaining about admin as there are discussing team issues.

I can only write from my own personal experience, and I in no way want to belittle or intentionally come across unsupportive of my fellow supporters (I do know someone we travel with who has not received their ST and faces Saturday morning in the Qs).

That said, we have 3 season tickets in our household. All 3 appeared last week, fully branded (unlike last season) with a nice little booklet thanking us for renewing.

On top of that, I also purchased the new kits from the online shop on they day they went on sale. They all arrived 48 hours later via post.

I just want to try and reach out with an olive branch to those working at the club who are probably working very hard and struggling under the weight of the sheer numbers at the moment, we all know the club is still struggling to find its feet again. If any of you are reading this, keep up the hard work.

It’s piss poor and completely unacceptable that people who have paid for season tickets months ago are having to go through the ticket office along with hundreds of others on Sunday morning to try and get a ticket to gain access
