Club statement required re Ticket Office

They’re remarkably quiet when it comes to this stuff. If they were at least making some noise about knowing it’s not good enough you could hope it would change but the silence really makes it seem like they don’t care and won’t be fixing any of it. I’d love to have a conversation with someone at the club about why it’s this way when literally no other professional club is run on such a stripped back system.

Knocking on 40k for Sunday, with a few thousand seats left available…..you’d think they’d be moving mountains to get it full.

The club is a disgrace in this regard. Ticket office open for 9 hours of the entire week in the lead up to the first game? Who's bright idea is that?

No doubt part of the Steve Davison master-plan...ignore the "customers" and eventually they'll all go away..It's a unique innovative business model hatched by our CEO..with a little help from those "consultants" who were he hired recently..

He is supposed to be a massive lads fan, not acting like it, I reckon I could do his job, easy, worked with bigger budgets on an annual basis than he does also

Is Steve Davison alive? He should at least be commenting on this shambolic, unacceptable off field dis-organisation. He's the COO of SAFC.

Some of the stories emanating from people who were in the queue for tickets for Sunday's opening match v Coventry City or to sort out season card issues this morning [or to buy them!-the club told them to come to the ticket office today!] are frightening and reflect poorly on those in charge of off field operations. These include a security bloke who was allegedly smiling whilst telling people they were not getting into the ticket office at the 1pm cut off time [opening hours 10:00-13:00-how pathetic is that a few days before the season kicks off-the Wembley feelgood factor should be exploited not stamped on with this amateurish stupidity] despite a harassed ticket office woman saying "you'll all get served"-the aforementioned security bloke then saying no one was getting in!

Apparently there were people there from well outside the Wearside area who had travelled up to buy tickets and season cards- North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Durham, Consett, Teesside etc. left angry and disappointed at the absolute chaos at the disgraceful scenes and actions of the security people. In essence the club should have had people there handing out coffees and teas and indulging in some positive public relations.

I’m quite supportive of the move to electronic tickets and going cashless. The customer service, however, is f***ing shite.

Surely to god someone at the club realised that additional support would be required to support with the first game on the season? It’s one thing to make people use an online platform but to basically remove support when folk has issues, is just woeful

Aye, I spoke to him. Was very unhelpful though he did say those inside with the door locked had been there for hours.
As the lad said, how can folk who work be expected to be there for over 2 hours at that time?
Have it open all day, all week and people can go in on the lunch break or before or after work. I just want a way to pay what I owe anyway, I'm wanting to give them £118 if someone can just send me a payment link or make a 1 minute phonecall.
That's an absolute disgrace if true..
It is. I encountered the fella though he wasn't rude to me

From what I'm hearing he's been very polite about it too. It sounds like an absolute shambles. Dreyfus and Sartori etc are involved in multi-billion pound companies-are they aware of all this crap? Needs addressing from the top and Steve Davison, SAFC COO, could at least try and communicate with people. Things seem to be getting very professional on the playing side but off the pitch it's a mess and the being a league one club won't wash any more either now we're one step away from the top flight....

You think its professionally run off the field with stuff like today and being open two days in the week prior to the Wembley play off final, the fact you can buy NUFC products in Sunderland City centre, Washington Gallieries, Durham etc., Ponteland International but no SAFC stuff etc etc..?
I don't support them. I support Sunderland. We're not perfect. We're climbing back from the lowest point in our history.

I'm sick of reading threads every Day criticising these aspects of the club. Far from ideal but seems to be a favourite pastime for some pulling the club to bits.
