Aye I've been stoned up a few mountains too, although I could still walk, also snowboarded down an Alp. Just what you do when you're young and daft isn't it ?I climbed a mountain stoned and then did an 8 hour shift at work.
Pansies.
Sorry you had to see that monkeytassle m8.Oof. Truth hurts
This. Just sit and eat crisps until you're reet. Emergency services ffs.Had nobody told them it wears off after while?
Don't agree with most of your posts Tassle, but that's the only 'language' those humpbacks understand
Jerks probably never paid a cent tax in their lives.
but them pissheads aren't up a mountain relying on volunteer's to rescue them
Exactly. While anyone can have an accident on the mountains, no matter how experienced or well equipped, an awful lot of MRT time is spent getting people down who can't navigate, are totally ill equipped, haven't got a clue what they're doing or are just plain stupid. That comes with the role and I agree that most in the MRTs would not want to start billing for rescues - that opens a whole new can of worms.Doubt you'd find many mountain rescue volunteers who would want these lightweights to be billed for it, even if they might roll their eyes and call them arseholes under their breath, because it runs counter to the entire principle of what they do. A significant proportion of people they take off mountains need the MRTs because they've done something stupid and avoidable...don't have a map and have no navigation skills so come off a top the wrong way, dressed ridiculously for the conditions, not bothered to check a weather forecast, have tried to do something way out of their competence level...charge this lot, no reason not to charge them, and then people won't call out the MRTs and more people will die.
They'reI would have left em up there , till they came down of there drugs.

Not too long ago a group of young lads had to be rescued on Helvellyn, wearing only T- shirts, shorts and flip flops all they'd taken up was few slabs. IIRC they were from Newcastle.
This. Bang them up and don't release them until they've paid for it. Mountain rescue teams rely on charity for funding and do a dangerous job in often awful conditions. To get dragged out for this is beyond bullshit.Should invoice them for it.
No I doubt they have paid a cent given that it isn't the currency in this country
