Clean air zone Newcastle.

Can be when it’s cold as no heated seats. Replacement car will be slower unfortunately. Barely under 6s
What are you changing to now?
Vans from July mate. It's not the Tyne bridge, it's the Redheugh and swing bridge aswell. Crazy that taxis get done aswell. Though it may stop the bellend Sunderland lot going through
Didn't realise that, but logically those bridges would be included too, so pretty much no way of crossing without paying for a lot of people.

You have the ipace is that right?

What you getting next ?

I do. Tesla Model 3 if my employer will approve it. They may not due to their company car policy.

Model Y was cheaper but most reviews confirm the ride quality is poorer.

Polestar 2 if Model 3 isn’t available.

Still don’t fancy electric there Gilfried?

I think it’s a canny car for the likes of our lass who never cross the A19 Moat.other than that they are no good for the likes of what I do.

Tech and infrastructure will only get us so far on electric vehicles .Hydrogen will hopefully come on sooner than later.

What kind of driving do you do that makes them unsuitable? Fair enough if you’re regularly putting 100+ miles in one go.

Had to get a taxi today and he was ranting about it. Deservedly so mind. They've not really informed taxi drivers that aren't under Newcastle licencing what they're supposed to do.
As soon as the cab goes in they're charged. So first customer if the day wanting to go to Newcastle has to take the hit? Rest of them if he gets more fares in get it for free? Or just charge everyone and make a profit on it. Charge no one and take the hit?

they'll just stick 20p or 50p or whatever on each persons fare to cover the cost shirley? "sorry mate you're the first to newcastle, another 12.50 please". there'll be ructions.

You would think so. But fares are regulated by the council and none of that has been sorted out despite it going live.
