Clean air zone Newcastle.

Anyone had any dealings with it yet regarding charges. Was through there Sunday before it started and wondered if I would have been charged. I visit a property regularly in Chester st, Jesmond and go over the Tyne bridge but don’t venture into the city centre. But of a pisser if I’m gonna get charged £12.50 a visit.

I was in my van. The signs are on the Tyne bridge but there are no cameras there. Surely they can’t charge £12.50 just for driving over the bridge.

if you've driven through Newcastle in the same van at some point in the last 6 months, and you qualified for a charge then you would have been notified late last year that your vehicle qualified for charging when the system went live this year. im sure there was something in the ronnie that said how many vehicle would have been charged in the last six months, it seemed low when considering how must pass through the central motorway each day.

It’s not till June

I’ve applied for the grant for 2 of our vans as all of our work is always in Newcastle

If you’ve applied for the grant that is I think. It’s live now though I’m sure for people who have not applied. I’m not 100% though that’s why I’m asking.
