'Classic Albums' that really aren't that good

That I'm in the minority regarding Blood on the Tracks mate. There has been a few mentions of it on here.

You're not in the minority marra (it's his best). People are taking the piss.

Kid A, Amnesiac and In Rainbows leave it for dead. Its very good for what it is, but from that album onwards they completely upped their game.

Edit. It's not even their best 'indie' effort, as The Bends is better.

Just got a copy of Rush Live in Rio - supposedly one the "best live albums ever recorded."

It's awful. Whoever mixed it wants shooting after they've stapled his ears back on.

I love RUSH and I think the mix on that is muddy. It`s a great show (especially seeing 100,000`s of Brazalians going nuts and singing along with an instrumental) but soundwise it could have been a lot better.

It hurts my ears. Luckily I got it cheap - going back on Ebay.

I’m a big big Talk Talk fan but I think Sound of Eden gets lauded for being a lot better than it actually is.
It’s really good, but it’s not as good as The colour of Spring.
