'Classic Albums' that really aren't that good

Revisited the Black Album by Metallica for the first time in years a few days ago, a multi million selling monster of a record.

Beyond the handful of known songs, which admittedly are absolutely great as a whole album its actually pretty average with its fair share of forgettable filler.

Any other records that sit in the canon of massive records that are actually not all that?

You're very wrong. It's killer from start to finish. Even the lesser-known tracks towards the end of the album are incredible.

Is it balls man, everything that came before it is loads better. There's even an argument Load is a more consistent record even if it lacks the standout tracks
