Clarke’s value in January and will the club cash in?

Club have said time after time that we will sell players if it benefits the club and allows us to reinvest and improve the team.

The club will have a price that if it gets hit they’ll sell every player.

Clarke neil Patterson and Ballard all have the potential to make the move up.
If 20 million ish is offered for Clarke I’d imagine it’ll be accepted.

I’d say unless there is at least £10m profit in it for us then we don’t sell. Our initial outlay plus what ever we owe spurs then £10m profit.

Exactly so there easy holding out for least £20 million

The latest comes from Football Insider though who claim that Sunderland will hold out for a fee in excess of £15million for their star man, who's already scored seven goals in the Championship this season, making him the joint-highest scorer in the league right now.

Brentford will be in for Clarke in January specially if tony is sold in January

I’m not sure anyone knows what we actually payed for Clarke, don’t think it was that much up front but a lot of add ons and a sell on fee would have to inflate our asking price but if we don’t look like going up in January we will be vulnerable to bids for our young players.

His worth to the club is a lot more, but I’d imagine we’d accept 15+. Fair play to the lad if he chooses to move on, he works his arse off and has really kicked on. I’d love us to keep hold of him

Everyone knows it means little, if you force a player to stay when he wants to leave his value will drop.

I don’t think he wants to leave, his agent does.

The irony being if you give him a full season at this level he’ll get 20 from out wide and his value will skyrocket

Got a nasty feeling this could happen if something around the high teens comes in. Hope not but I can see someone like Villa making a bid.
I’d be devastated if we did cash in, although Aouchiche looks like he could be a decent understudy if needs be. Unless Clark hands in a transfer request though I think it would cause a very large disconnect between the club and the fans letting someone so important leave so shortly after losing Stewart and last seasons player of the year Bath.

He's not a top six prem player he wouldn't get near villa team
His worth on here has been artificially inflated by the fact he is now on penalty duty. Same as Stewart last season. Take Stewart's penalties out of the equasion last season and his goals per minute ratio was similar to Simms yet people were calling him the best striker in the league and Simms not good enough.

In my eyes £20m min, could probably push for £25m late in the window but I fear the club will let him go for £15-20m.
£15m would be pathetically bad.

We've got to be pushing for close to £30m.

He's won most of the penalties as well though.

We got £10 million for Stewart, have you forgotten that?
