I've written the latest blog on their website, a bit of a departure from the blogs I usually write.

There's some canny blogs on there including some from people I suspect to be posters on here.
The bid is starting to take shape and there's loads going on and ways to get involved.

There was a canny article from Lauren Laverne supporting it in the Chronicle of all places.

If you look at how it has rejuvenated Hull and the money it has brought into the city, it has to be worth getting behind it.

Haway Sunlun

Two good reads there.

Hull is looking great.

Off to see the Poppy installation tomorrow
No it f***ing isn't . They've been digging it up for about a year now, and seems far from finished

Around the maritime and ferens is f***ing atrocious

Shpuld have seen the place last year, rhe entire centre from the station onwards was dug up. Thought that was what you meant. Looks miles better for it mind.
It was a right f***ing state as of Wednesday

To be fair you couldn't move for worried looking types in dayglow

Yeah they have tried to time installing the new fountain inbetween the blade being removed last weekend and the poppies opening tomorrow. Only area of that part of town now still under construction is the beverley gate I think. Sounds like your trip to vic square would have been nicer literally anytime this year apart from last week

I thought that was a permanent installation. Didn't realise that they were shifting it after a couple of months.
Not that I've seen it in real life but I wasn't entirely convinced by it. Might be different if you see the scale of it up close.
