Cirkin

If he'd wanted to try to match Chong, he'd have at least been on the turn. He knew there was no point and decided to block him instead. Standard yellow.
Eh he was no more than 2 yards away from Chong, where was he meant to go when he gets ran straight into?

Not really being sensitive, just disagreeing. It's your opinion regards a good young player and it's mine that you're clueless, no hard feelings.
I'll show you the stats of his season. Bare with

Be surprised if it works.
He's doing well with goals (for) though. 😌

And Interceptions, in fairness. Iffy passing..

Worth noting his pass completion percentile is 82 when compared to championship fullbacks, which I think is more useful than the comparison in that screen shot, which is full backs from American Major League Soccer, Brazilian Série A, Dutch Eredivisie, English Championship, Mexican Liga MX, Portuguese Primeira Liga, Copa Libertadores & UEFA Europa Conference League

If you agree it's a foul then surely the yellow can be justified on the basis of that foul preventing a potentially dangerous attack from developing. I'm assuming that's why Cirkin is blocking him off instead of turning the other way.

The right arm coming out is a bit problematic too. It's instinctive from Cirkin but it's clear what his intentions were.

Why are you defending it mate.m? They were fouling us all game and dragged us back at times when we passed them and they weren't booked. It can't be justified as the ref simply wasn't consistent, that's the issue here.

A red card is a massive decision to make and a second yellow carries more weight as it can have a huge impact on the game. It was very very harsh.

If VARS had been in place and looked into it then only possible decision would be to red card the Birmingham player as first contact was a clear elbow to Cirkin’s face. That is if VARS would look into a booking that led to a red and if the rules do not lead to such a review then the system is pointless. Either way Cirkin being booked for standing his ground is ridiculous!

Spot on. In a game where a team makes three fouls in 90 mins, cirkin made two and was red carded

Birmingham mean while made 19 fouls and recvd two cards, completely inconsistant decision making and especially the red card decision

it was not a goal scoring opportunity. The lad clearly runs straight at Cirkin and they ain’t a law stating Cirkin has to move

the ball was at least 15 yards ahead of Chong after he kicked it through. The ref should have warned Cirkin , that was the sensible decision but no, he had the card out immediately

he noticeably let at least two Birmingham players off with warnings

Cirkin could have ended up knocked out and red carded on a stretcher like embleton was

Here's a question for everyone that hasn't been addressed.
With the left back on a yellow card and continuing to be put under pressure by their very pacey right winger with the inevitably that a second yellow would bring, what could the manager have done?
