Cirkin

2 fouls only

Birmingham 19 fouls
It’s mad how many games we are consistently fouled yet first yellow card goes to a Sunderland player. Birmingham’s number 5 was let off with a blatant pull back to break up play early in the game. They went on to commit several of these before getting a booking. Max Power was sent off against Oxford a few years back for doing similar, we never seem to get the run of the green with refereeing decisions.

Was that the pull back around our players neck in front of the dug out ?( obv yellow )

Mate that replay is in slow motion. In real life time it’s less than a second. The lad has knocked it past him and then ran into him (bought the foul). It probably is a foul, but as long as I have a hole in my arse that is not a yellow!

This might be painful for you 😂.... But it was a yellow, deliberate professional foul. Mind thought of thing opposition have been getting away all season without punishment

Today was ridiculous. It doesn’t happen but I would love to see the referee justify his decisions post match

19 fouls 2 cards

3 fouls two yellows to make a red , and one other yellow for the third foul

basically a card for every foul given against safc. That can’t be right

we dont surround ref and wave imaginery cards

Justified if the ref also gives yellows for about 5 of their fouls. The lad nocks it to the right and runs straight ahead. He's looking for contact and knew he'd never get his own knock on. It's not a yellow in my opinion
Exactly what happened. He pushed the ball by cirkin who put his leg out to intercept but failed. As he did Chong just ran into him as he saw he had no chance of getting he ball. He made no attempt to sidestep cirkin and ran straight into him. Was Cirkin expected to step aside?

It was a yellow

I think refs have clamped down on it in recent games. I reckon Mowbray must have been making representations behind the scenes

Have they though? They only received 2 bookings today and committed 19 fouls. Cardiff committed over 20 fouls last week.

They dragged back one of our players in the first half and nothing was given, it was clearly a yellow card then he sends off Cirkin for that, it's the inconsistency that makes it frustrating.

Cirkin steps to his right and blocks him off. It’s a clear yellow. Chong should also have had a yellow, possibly red, for the elbow though. And I don’t blame Cirkin. If he hadnt done that they were in on goal.
It wasn’t a step to the right he attempted to block the ball. Chong had time and space to run past him.

It’s not man. A bit of poor defending. Cirkin caught square on and then the lad has knocked it to the side of him and then ran into him. It’s never a yella…. Barely even a foul in my book but I’d understand the foul…. But never ever the yellow!

I thought it was at the time and still do, angles will alter perspective Iam sure

A strange player. Looks like Maldini one game then plays the next three like he's had ten cans of Kestrel pre match.

Shock horror, a player is human and has an off day.
