I’m not saying he won’t be a good player for us and I’m not knocking the lad but in isolation, his cross that he put into the stand at the end under no pressure reminded me of Angeleris debut against Blackburn where he came on and put the ball into the North stand under no pressure. Always good to get a random flashback out of the blue

He absolutely fluffed two high crosses yesterday under little pressure. However in his first game and yesterday on two occasions he got to the byline and put in/pulled back two very accurate crosses into the area, despite having almost no space to do it. He's also shown he can pick accurate passes in tight areas on a few occasions so far.

I think the attacking side of his game and ability to get the ball in is the least of his problems. With the high crosses where he was trying to float them up, probably for Stewart, then it's probably just something he's not really had to do as I can't imagine Spurs have played at many levels where they're trying to float a looping cross into a 6ft 4in bean pole.

Defensively I'm not that sure yet, but he's a 19 year old in his first senior games who isn't fully fit and I like most of what I've seen so far from him.

For me, the fact that he's barely been mentioned in the last 2 match threads implies that he's a massive upgrade on McFadzean and Hume, as they would have a complaint on almost every page

Twice he was in loads of space and put in poor crosses. However, playing in a winning/confident team will give the lad a bit of breathing space in which to work on those aspects of his game. I can see where the OP is coming from, but the lad is a "project" rather than the finished article. I wish him well and hope that our overall game will give him the opportunity to develop.
