Striker
Which Championship side wouldn't miss a few players?100% this. Our strategy in the market has been very high risk. A few more injuries to key players and it's going to be a very long winter.

It’s fine.
The “model” delivered Alese, who will be ready to step straight in and do a job at this level, because this is the level we play at.
O9 was excellent again last night and playing on the RHS of a back 3 is defo HIS position. The Pompey fan who gets on here said he was fine. Looked okay against SWFC (excepting that pass). Onien is absolutely not out of position playing in defence. He should never play anywhere other than in defence for safc again. He’s dreadful when played in midfield.
I’m not saying that we’ve got tonnes of cover throughout. There are clearly some areas where we’re weaker than others. Guess I’m just saying that it’s far from a disaster as things stand. The big one is up top. All other positions are far less critical imo.
The ones with more than two recognized strikers.Which Championship side wouldn't miss a few players?
Yes they bring in strikers of the quality of the ones missing. The ones with more than two recognized strikers.
Surprised by this. He looked absolutely dreadful in the cup v Sheffield Wednesday.I think BW will come in with Luke switched over to the LHS.

If BW is brought in and Luke switched to the LHS, it will be because Mogga doesn't think Alese is ready which would be a surprise given how WHU fans were gutted to lose him.

Alese came from London! Left sided defender. He may be an option? It’s not beyond reasonable contemplation to think that kids moving to another country, might find it even more difficult to adapt. Is it?
Yes they replace a striker with a striker. We don't because we only have two who are regularly starting together.Yes they bring in strikers of the quality of the ones missing.
Then we change formation which we clearly can. We're not going to replace Ross Stewart from the bench. We'd have been considerably weaker last night even with the fabled 3rd strikerYes they replace a striker with a striker. We don't because we only have two who are regularly starting together.
The thing about depth is baffling tbh mate. People seem to forget where we've come from, 5th in league one. We aren't going to have a championship squad with strength in depth after one transfer windowExactly.
There are no teams that wouldn't miss their no.1 striker.
Norwich, Watford and SU have a bit more depth than us tbf, but most Champo teams are that brassic, they are as light depth wise as us.
He will be in Wonderland if he steps up.Alese will have to step up or else there's literally no point in signing him in the first place.
People also seem to have forgotten they were happy with mid-table before we'd even kicked a ball. Then we change formation which we clearly can. We're not going to replace Ross Stewart from the bench. We'd have been considerably weaker last night even with the fabled 3rd striker

First TeamOnien isn't being played out of position. His versatility is his biggest strength
In fairness. They all did.Surprised by this. He looked absolutely dreadful in the cup v Sheffield Wednesday.
Fair enough. I hope you don't whinge we need another forward as that says we have loads, including Ross Stewart
I'd be going to a back 4 mate. Make use of the forward options we have.Got to give Alese a go as the left-sided centre half. It's what he was signed for.
I'd be wary of that personally like mate as prefer specialist full backs in a back 4. I see what you're saying, mind.I'd be going to a back 4 mate. Make use of the forward options we have.
