😆😆 the two players we knew we didnt have cover for . Be pattison next and we will have the delights of "alfie" Bass ( ask yer grandah)

True, but like-for-like squad building isn’t the best way to do things imo. Rather a smaller squad (or one with more youngsters) and rely on versatility - even if they aren’t all ‘natural’ fits.

Personally I expect it’ll be 09. Not perfect but will compensate for a very attacking fullback on the other flank. Could do with getting a few more left footed players in there if we can though.
Transfer window is shut mate

The knock-on effect bro; a back 4 would be the natural move after 'Surfin' goes down.
Plus, Stewart

Now, O'Nien has to switch across by two spaces as Wright comes in where O'Nien used to be. Pahhh
O'nien who is already filling a role that is not his natural position 🤷‍♂️

The ‘attack to defence’ balance would be fine with 09 at left back. It compensates for Gooch playing as a very attacking right back. The big thing we’d miss is a naturally left footed player to overlap. Pritchard would need to spend most of the game coming over to that side to help out Clarke. To be fair that’s where he’s most at home anyway.

Genuine question…….Do we have another left back(yes I know he’s been playing left side centre half but maybe Mowbray will change system)?

Two injuries and the whole squad is being exposed, incredible how Speakman thought not getting another centre forward was acceptable. Simms looks utter shite anarl.
His run opened the gap that Roberts almost exploited. Give the lad a chance man. He's back up, only playing because he initially clicked with Ross. If he gets ten goals this season he'll have done his job.

So many options - so many opportunities begging for a shot, Cabbas lad
