Cirkin back to Spurs?

So much drivel

would need to pay the agent fee of around 5-10%, signing on fee of 10-15% and many other caveats around a deal like that to make it pointless.

Also, he couldn’t play for them as there is a rule around how many teams a player can play for in a season iirc

And finally, why on Earth would the player even consider such a deal? The amount of negotiating that goes into one deal is insane, never mind two.
I don’t think it would be complicated at all if Spurs have his move to the third club lined up. Let’s assume it is a low PL team X - Dennis do you want to move to team X? Yes. Lawyers draw up legals that transfer him to spurs then straight to X. Dennis agrees terms with X only.

A key consideration is that the player is not obligated to sign for anybody and move down the country because the two clubs have an agreement in principle, ask yourself if the player might wish to move to London only to sign with Spurs who intend to ship him out again in the next window? Unless there is a massive financial windfall for the lad, I doubt he'd be happy to basically suspend his career and life for 6 months whilst Spurs make money off him.
he is from london so six months there might suit him having been away from family while "stuck" in the north east..

Absolutely no chance in hell that ever happens. Bordering on corruption. Only way it happens if it’s to a team that is co-owned by spurs, for which there are none. Watford, Girona and Udinese have done this most recently, but even they were loan deals.
Or dennis just says, I'll give team x a ring then cheers 👍
Just sell directly to team x.

One things for sure - there is absolutely zero chance Conte is sitting down spending 90 minutes each week watching playbacks of our games
the dire tor of football or the very extensive scotuing department might be though...
they have a scout whose only job is looking at the UK market..

Spurs essentially have a call option - they can pay £6m any time they want to buy him. If you can but something for a set price, and the value of the thing being bought is over that amount - a trade will happen even if Spurs themselves don’t want him so long as Cirkin wants to move to the new club. Not an ideal situation but what was agreed to when we signed him / isn’t corruption / still represents a decent profit on a player.

So we make 5m ?

Just hope he is happy here and isn't interested in moving to another side!
I think there is a clause in his contract where spurs can buy him back. I don’t know what that means exactly, such as if spurs want him then they get him or first refusal etc.
Not sure why he’d want to go - he’s not going to get in their first team. He wanted to leave in the first place, he turned down a new contract to play in league one. He’s not going to trade championship football for playing in the under 21s / sitting on the bench in the premier league.
How I think this is goi g to work is that Spurs activate the £6 million buy back fee as they will know that he will be valued higher than that so they will make a profit on him. Meanwhile we lose a cracking player who will net us around £5 million in profit if figures are to be believed. This I believe falls right into the model that we as a club have implemented. We just move onto the next one.

According to a well respected Spurs academy twitter account they had a £6M buy back clause that expires on 30 June 2024.

I haven't got a clue if they're a good source or not but seemed to have a lot of Spurs fans in their replies saying how good they were with information coming out of the academy.

Just means we have to accept a £6m offer from spurs and inform the player . He doesnt have to go and i doubt he would . Im wondering how long the buy back clause lasts , hopefully once his first contract with us is renewed its null and void . Id hate to give him loads of resigning bonuses and the spurs put £6m down the week after .

Probably not accurate, but on my footy manager save this year spurs bought him back for 6 million, but they had a 25% sell on clause put in his contract when he signed for us, so they got 1.5 million of their own money back

I would personally like to keep him as I would imagine most would. Where we are currently at though in terms of league etc we will probably have to ,are more signings like this with that risk of losing them. One thing I suppose is it gives you a bit of a chance of profit which if we use the model right isn’t so bad.

Yeah, i mean he would be a good example for future young talent to come " play 18 months at sunderland and youre back in the prem " on loot ....and we make money

I dont believe this will happen like but its slightly worrying were facing the prospect of losing 2 players in the summer - cirkin and stewart.

Especially as we would then have no strikers at all.

Not a fan of us going into summer windows like that.
