Christmas Day Food Thread

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. wasn’t going to make light of it, but then thought, fuck it, you might as well have a giggle about it.

All the best in your fight marra.
We always got to have a laugh marra nowt worse than a boring bastard. :D

went to the father in laws last year where he scorched everything in site beyond recognition.... going back this year. joy

We are going to Angelos at East Rainton. Hopefully it should be ok. I am having the lamb which is accompanied by blue cheese croquettes, amongst other things:cool:.

Garn to me mams so there's no menu for me to worry about this year.

Although I am toying with doing a few Polish xmas dishes on the 24th for Wigilia so our lass can have a bit of tradition.

The non-pig eating in-laws are coming. We're having Turkey with streaky bacon on top, pigs in blankets, Brussels sprouts fried with pancetta, roast taties in a 50/50 mix of lard and goose fat, sausage and chestnut stuffing.

Afterwards I'll declare that I'm not eating another mouthful for 2 weeks, before lying prostrate on the kitchen floor. Then at 6:30 I'll be f***ing into ham sandwiches and cold pigs in blankets.

Is this a Christmas tradition? Asking for a friend.
