The great thing about the Rushy story is he got released from the academy about 2005 and didn't get back on the staff at Durham till 2010. Certainly made the most of his second chance big time.

Saw him in 2010 I think it was and predicted that he'd never make it.

How wrong I was, a Durham great and a fantastic professional. My current favourite DCCC player and here's to the next few hundred.

It's not just us that hold him in high esteem. Last season I was talking to some Worcs supporters before the CC game began and they told me one of the reasons they had come was to watch him bowling as, even though he was something of
a thorn in their side, they loved his graft and determination. They couldnt understand why he had never has a call up.

Incidentally he went on to take 10 wickets in the match - Im sure deep down they appreciated it.
