Thats the same at most academies at all ages though. There's loads of mags at SAFC and loads of Sunderland lads at them.
Aye but it’s just f***ing embarrassing turning up wearing a mag top to watch your son play for Sunderland.

I wouldn’t dare do it if my son played for Newcastle it’s just a complete disrespect to the club that have provided everything for his son to prosper.

Honestly can’t wait until he fucks off to them up the road. It’s clearly what he wants by the sounds of it. Sign a deal or leave. Simple as.

Don’t give me this “generational talent” bullshit either. He may be the next pele, he may piss it all away before he’s 18. Certainly wouldn’t lose any sleep if he leaves. As long as we get a decent compo package so we can progress now.

That's the fatha's problem not ours... professionalism doesn't appear to be high up on his agenda. (Dad not the Son).

Tbh he may as well break through here, get first team football & experience at a much earlier age than he ever will at Newcastle and then if he's as good as he's touted the world is his oyster.

Given our policy with how we deal with youth, and watching patto and Dan Neil you’d have to imagine he knows here he’s got a pathway into the first team. If he does go to the mags (especially that they’re bound to have spend a bucket load more before he’s 18) that first team opportunities are pretty slim

Don't know what the lads ambitions are, but if he is in the squad for tomorrow night (as is rumoured), I hope it is on merit and not to stop him going to the mags or anybody else.

I know a load of kids at either celtic or rangers academy and parents support other club. If you are any kind of parent all that matters is your kid playing football in a good environment with a pathway.
