I am an Electrial Technician by trade and now work as an Electrical Engineer in oil and gas, depending on where the lads working, hours and sector he can be earning that amount of money, on a 2k take home he will be working limited company / self employed tho....deffo no 40% getting taking off his top line
Ltd co might get that but “take home”….nah. £2K week on LTD working 50 hours a week is still £40/hour. Seems high for a spark but possible in certain fields. Like you say oil and gas work more than feasible.

I'll be very surprised if he starts, I'd bring him on later on to make an impact but still look after him. He's 15 and not a big lad. Fantastic achievement and looking forward to tomorrow.

I had read that he would be second on that list so I checked and looks like that's true. 15 years 203 days.

He’s now older than Foster was. He would have been the youngest if he’d played when he first travelled with the squad.

What's the consensus, do people reckon he'll get a run out today?

Be nice to see him even if just for 5 minutes, so we can decide if he's shite or class

I personally think he will. It's political.

I think the club would like to wait longer but see it as a way of keeping him on our books for a bit longer and ultimately getting a good fee.

As a fan it would be nice to see a young lad doing well for himself represent the club and because he is relatively high profile, to show other potential youngsters there is a pathway to football at Sunderland .

Be good for everyone concerned if he starts. Great for the club…lad must be made up, and showing him what’s possible if he stays. Chuck him in from the start!

Hopefully the game is open enough and people aren't getting the shit kicked out of them, and also that we are winning 3-0 at half time. Like you say, from a football politics perspective it would be great for him to get an appearance.. would look awesome for the club (as long as he is ready, relatively speaking)

LOL - This. 5 minutes game time, one misplaced pass and one back flick. 50% on match thread saying he’s shite and Newcastle can have him. 50% on match thread saying he’ll be the new Messi by the end of the season. 0% on match thread in the middle!

They could end up with 4 or 5 red cards just trying to get near the lad
