When and not if he gets it right here. He will be able to write his own ticket - his CV, will prove he can take on a club in the doldrums, no money and fecked and turn it right back around.

I am in no doubt he will manage it.......Let’s hope when natural service (order) is resumed he wants to stay and that we can keep him as when he gets it right he will be a popular and proven manager for both club and country.

New Year and is it just me who thinks we really do have the right man in charge? Everything he says just seems to tick the boxes in my eyes, he aurora around the place is just positive and wanting to improve everything.

The club have been criticised and deservedly so for the decisions they have made but appointing him was beyond my expectations, the club need to stick by him and let him rebuild from the bottom to the top and I’m more than confident he can stabilise us and kick us on, hopefully 2018 is a year we can look back on and say this is where the rot stopped and we regained our footing.

Haway the Lads and keep the faith!

Can't see anything in the sky...

No matter what happens, his attitude when arriving to this shitshow is a model of what to do.

Positivity, commitment, mood. Even if you have nothing else, it’s amazing what you can do for people with a bit of that. It’s just a happier place and that can slowly start sowing something.

Amazing you could rise to a senior management position (like the manager of a PL football club) and be totally deaf to that.
Within a day of signing he said he was moving his family here I thought "you will do for me"

I reckon that he has changed the perception of the club and the fans in just a few weeks. Whether we’ll get out of the shit we’re in is up for debate but at least we’ve got some self respect back - ps Happy New Year

He looks a damn sight better than dumb & dumber( Moyes & Grayson ) has done already

Comments are well over the top just a few days after one of the most gutless, inept performances in recent years.

I really wish people would just give it a bit of time before eulogising our managers.

Really? I thought it was indistinguishable from scores of others we have seen over the last few seasons.

I like Coleman despite my reservations.
The problem is with him is the potential is going to be throttled by short and his running of the club.

A good season for Coleman is avoiding the drop. Next year mid table.
We will never kick on with short in charge and this will hinder Colemans future

Still very early days (look at the effect of O’Neill for instance), but the signs are promosing. He says they right things, as did Grayson, but Coleman says them with an authority. He makes you believe in him.

Like bitterly having a dig at critical fans who weren't at Ipswich on a Tuesday night?

It's very early to make any major judgement on him.

But his stock was quite high at the time he came. It was a sure thing that he would have been offered other jobs, possibly in the PL, or maybe in the championship at a most stable , less dysfunctional club.

He came here when he didn't have to. That'll do for me to start with, as well as the difference in most games since he came. Good luck to him, he's got bottle but he'll need help. I hope he gets it.

Needs to be backed still.

Financial restraints will be his undoing. More than any other club we should know not to big a manager up at the first sign of an upturn in form
