What has that got to do with Di Matteo?

Grant would have been very unfortunate not to get it, I'd say he would have deserevd it.

Grant was a penalty away from winning the Champions League. Still a f***ing awful manager. Di Matteo chucked the league, playing a weaker side in it every week, so they won the CL with big dressing room leaders like Drogba, Terry, Lampard etc. Should never have been given the job. This was always going to happen at the first opportunity.

Haven't read the whole thread but wouldn't shock me to see Arry get the job.Sure he got linked with them before.Pep will be the favourite mind.

Di Matteo from Mk dons to been sacked by WBA, to winning the Champions league, and then sacked early the next season. He'll end up at Grimsby or somewhere

They do it seems.

Some fan on TS was saying that this is what is getting them success. Who remembers teams that win but sack the manager every two minutes you cannot put a face to the success.

If you look at the great sides of the past like the Liverpool's and Manchester Uniteds (Paisley, Shankly, Busby and Ferguson) thats what people remembers not fly-by-night merchants who come in for 15 months then get sacked.

;)

Chelsea might as well sack a manager every week.

:lol::lol:

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Chelsea's policy. I think they've sacked far better managers than Di Matteo having not given them enough time. I just don't particularly care for Di Matteo and don't think he should have been given the job anyway.

If Benitez fluked the Champions League, then so did Di Matteo (with a far, far better squad). You've also ignored Benitez's time at Valencia. What has Di Matteo got in his locker? A largely average time at WBA where other managers have come in and done a lot better.

Is this the same Benitez that let Alonso slip through his fingers in his indecent haste to sign Gareth Barry and, at the time of his demise, had Liverpool saddled with no less than 94 professionals on the books?

Guardiola must of decided he wants to get back into football management

RDM was never Abramovics choice and it was always going to be the case that when that man became available that Roman wants became available RDM would be a goner

No way would they of sacked him if they never had there man in place to come straight in

It's harsh on RDM but I bet he had some idea when he took the job full time in the summer

Aye I got the sense he was not popular with the board bud :lol:

its not fair though just had a caller on there saying that he is happy that he has been sacked as he is tactically inept. How the hell does he know he has not had a chance in a bad situation yet?

Was announced the other day that all bets had been suspended on the next Premier League manager to be sacked, due to them taking several 'large' bets placed on Mark Hughes.

Bet the bookies are f***ing lovin' Abramovich right now!

Unbelievable ....

He won the FA Cup as well.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Benitez is perfect. The Alonso scenario was madness (as was his decision to get rid of Arbeloa for relatively cheap, only to replace him with a vastly overpriced Glenn Johnson). Still a much better manager than Di Matteo with a proper managerial pedigree.
