Cheese

My Ma’ gave me a few block of Sticky Toffee Cheese the other day, is made with raisins, golden syrup and dates!

A taste sensation!

Our lass bought some of this Hafod cheddar for Xmas.
It's the best cheese I've ever had. Daren't ask how much it was though.

Never tried pickled pear, intrigued now.
Bought a nice sheeps brie and some Cornish yarg today.
Yarg is f***ing rank marra
I'm basic when it comes to cheese.
Red Leicester or mild cheddar to eat on sarnies or crackers.
Mature cheddar mixed with red Leicester if I'm having a quiche.
I don't mind a bit of edam now and again.
I like double Gloucester.

Not too keen on the crumblies like Cheshire or Wensleydale and whatnot.

As for mouldy cheese.... forget it.
All cheese is mouldy marra. That's what it is. Mouldy milk.
You just can't see it on alot of them, that's all.

See I thought it smelt stronger than it tasted. Just in from pub now and eating a lovely bit of emmental on toast. Never tried pont l'eveque, but going to look out for it for a try

I had actually looked at that one and thought it sounds lovely. What variety of pear do you use?
P.S. I just used ordinary red wine vinegar, and put a dash of cider vinegar in too but I'm a bit lasseiz faire like that.
Sounds a bit like having cheese with Christmas cake or a very sweet chutney, could be okay.
Yeah you right cos I love a lump of cheddar with a slice of fruit cake. However I like them separate I prefer to decide on the mix. I am being a complete drunken cheese aficionado 😁

See there is a few people posting saying that Yarg is rank. Not disputing, but going to have to try myself cos never met a cheese I never liked (yet)

Tastes like soap marra.

And the Cornish will have you believe that Yarg is an ancient Cornish or Celtic name from deep and distant historic times from days of yore.
Bollox
Its called Yarg cos the guy who first made it and owns the recipe is called Gray.
It's his name backwards.

And it's still f***ing rank.
