Cheese

Camembert is my favourite, but I like most of them, not keen on cheese with fruit in it but can still enjoy the odd one.

Even really like the processed stuff - Babybel, Dairylea cheesestrings, triangles, Primula…

Lidl had this cheese spread in the ‘When it’s gone it’s gone’ section a few time. Queso Manchego or something, hellish but it’s only in there every 3 months or so…

Epoisses
Serra da Estrela
Comte
Vacherin
Rollright

Had some Comte melted on toast the other day. Lord have mercy, it was good
If you like comte try Beaufort. Especially the 18m summer one.

Only cheeses I don't eat are the generic bland hard cheeses. Tend to be orange.

Nobody mentioned burrata yet.

Also morbier.

Love cheeses from the mountains.

Why, why why pollute fine cheese. That's like saying I have an 87 fixin but it tastes better if I put jam in it.

Esch to their own but Jesus christ.

Because some old Yank woman at Publix I was shopping in said I should try it and I did. Bit of an overreaction to a bit of cheese mind 😂 I do prefer it on its own.

I'm basic when it comes to cheese.
Red Leicester or mild cheddar to eat on sarnies or crackers.
Mature cheddar mixed with red Leicester if I'm having a quiche.
I don't mind a bit of edam now and again.
I like double Gloucester.

Not too keen on the crumblies like Cheshire or Wensleydale and whatnot.

As for mouldy cheese.... forget it.

Never tried pickled pear, intrigued now.
Bought a nice sheeps brie and some Cornish yarg today.
Bloody gorgeous, I am a veritable pickling machine, pickled radishes are nice too. If I could I would post you the recipe I use, simple and can be eaten (on the side) with any cheese. Pickled radishes gorgeous with mackerel pate as well.

I’ve had pickled radish with Chinese food before, I’ll have to find a recipe for pear and give it a go.

Pickled radishes stink after a while though.
