They were reversing it a lot during the Ashes like, I put that down to their extra speed, who knows now though, maybe they have been doing it for a long time?

Funny that the Aussie cameramen didn't track Warner in the Ashes series ,then when the Saffas do it ,Warner gives up the ball shining duties. No excuse for all the sticking plaster on his hand ,he's a blatant cheat and for Smith to say it's the first time it's happened is laughable.
 
I wonder if SA's TV producers are currently going through every piece of the previous 2 tests to see if they find any evidence of them ball tampering during SA's innings'. Be frigging fantastic if they found more evidence, after Smith claims it was the first time.

Don't hold out much hope of Australia's producers looking through all the footage of the Ashes tests, although public opinion down there does seem different to what I was expecting so who knows.

Well Warner was the ball shiner before this, and he had that strapping on his hand, how the fuck was he allowed to wear all that? So poor by the umpires, match referees etc.

The Daily Mail said he had corrosive liquids on his strapping to alter the ball, that'd he admitted that to other players, who knows.

Will they have footage that didn't air stored? As anything remotely suspicious is always reported by some eagle-eyed viewer on twitter

Whilst the ball tampering isnt as serious to warrant life time bans or anything its great to watch Australian Cricket implode due to their holier than though attitude.

Swab tests on bandages and trousers, no pockets allowed, hand bandages issued on the field by the umpires ?

Yea. Very difficult to stop but that doesn't mean because it's difficult to stop we won't punish it harshly.

This is more than a bowler picking at the ball with a fingernail, this is concerted and planned beforehand which involved at least the senior players and probably the coaching staff too. It's not an incident it's a strategy - which is why the authorities should be harsh on those in charge of the team. Coaches, Captain and Vice-Captain.

This implies that either these 'angry' teammates didn't know which sounds possible but unlikely or they did know, didn't like it but were overruled.

No bandages allowed at all unless for a previous injury and the strappings are checked by the umpires or the match referee and cleared before going onto the field of play.

The thing that gets me the most is the holier than thou attitude of this aussie team - the way theyve gone on over the last couple of years in regards sledging etc and then when people start giving it back they bleat on like little girls. That just shows this team is nothing like the greats of the past - they gave it out but could take it much better than these soft kernts.

Warner is a snivelling little shithouse who is happy to give it out but cries to the umpires when he gets it back - soft little shite.

Warner will never play for Australia again and Smith will be lucky, the coach will step down and Bancroft probably wont play again. I feel for Lehmann but thats what happens when your at the top, you have to cop the blame even if its not his doing.
