Read this.. great little read.. a stand-alone short story which is actually a chapter from The Pickwick Papers.

anyway.. point of the thread being, if you were to cast a well known actor to portray this mad man in a film, who would you choose?

I love Dickens but you can tell this was written in installments. Best read that way

Not being controversial but I’m not a fan of Dickens I’ve read quite a few but I’m often looking for more than is actually in the story . I’m clearly in the minority.

My mum lives over the road from where he was born.

I just couldn't get away with it. I like to listen to audiobooks when out for a walk and I just couldn't make this work for me. I had similar with Bleak House.

Try Mill on the Floss. George Eliot. First audiobook (fiction) that I was captured by.
