Chaotic trains

Oddly enough during lockdown my Teams photo looked like Tom Hanks in Castaway

I voted for a signal failure at Morpeth? Are you feeling alright ?

You’re dead to me

Do you understand how time works?

Oh bless. Still absolutely rattled I see. Imagine acting like this much of a child having a tantrum

The party you adore are the ones that have caused you this inconvenience.

Hopefully you learn from this.

Transpenine are a joke, thankfully you can usually see the cancelled trains the day before. The new trains they have a pretty decent when you actually get on them.
Unfortunately for me mine was cancelled three minutes before departure. Was sat on it.
Then next day cancelled last minute stood on platform waiting to board. In fairness that one was due to high winds after York.

I think there is some rule that if a rail company cancels a service before 10pm the night before, it doesn't affect their performance statistics. Apparently, TPE and Grand Central are up there as the worst offenders.

I travel by train most weeks. It’s 50/50 whether the journey is straightforward. Load of shite.
I used to a fair bit pre covid. Though really it was only ever between here and KingsX. But issues were fairly rare. While never great it just appears to have gone all to rat shit now.

But then I think that is reflective of everything in this country. Everything is falling apart.

While I'm all for braying Tories all ower, the divvies, I'm not sure even a Labour government would have solved the signal failure at Morpeth yesterday. Or the wind that fucked up the trains on Friday.

I live outside the NE and used to get the train to the match on saturdays. That's been virtually impossible this year and driving 3 hours there and 3 hours back is knocking me for 6 these days.

Unless things improve, its 50/50 whether I renew my ST....😢

Train with TPE on Friday was cancelled with 6 hours notice, rebooked for later in the day and that was 55 minutes delayed. The only positive is that they’ve already refunded me.

Shit thing about being in Manchester is all the train lines serving it are shit: TPE, Avanti and northern can be awful

What would you like TPE to do about the weather?
