Chaos in airports

Flew to Majorca a few weeks ago, absolute doddle getting through. Passport stamped then a quick look at the covid pass. Getting back into UK was the worst hassle with the E passport machines at Ponteland.
I can go to plenty places without restrictions, E passport twice in the last couple of months no problem, other than a bit of a wait in June when three flights landed close together.

Fuck the Spanish as I said. 😉

When I came home a few weeks back it was the first week they've ever worked for me.
Of course they didn't have the sense to open the ropes so I didn't have to walk half a mile to get there when there was no queue.

Spent 3 1/2 hours on the tarmac flying to Pula from Gatwick earlier in the month. They had to move some luggage to the front of the plane and missed our slot. The usual “air traffic restrictions over Europe” line I’ve heard on 6 out of 6 delayed flights this summer.

Landed in Pula 2 hrs 58 mins later than scheduled and EasyJet have refused to pay out anything (has to be 3hrs or more)

Its not the time when you land its when the door(s) are opened. If that's more than 3 hours you have cause for compensation.

Terminal 5 has been shite today. Security was fine, it’s just full of nutsacks.
NCL confirmed full of nutsacks anarl. Fuck off away from the baggage carousel until you can see your shit bag.

Great to be back.

Yeh we went from T2 there last Tuesday. Car drop was rapid, bag drop was rapid. Security thing maybe took 15-20 mins then I held everyone up for another 5 as I'd forgot there was some vape liquid in my jacket pocket. All in all though was nowt like the horror stories of earlier this summer
Same for us flew to Orlando from T2 2 weeks ago. Took a total of 30 mins from pulling up at meet and greet to being in the lounge. Came back Sunday and was repeat the other way. Straight through passports. 10 mins wait for bag into car and on the road after about 40 mins from landing. Seems they’ve got their shit together.

Sat in All Bar One in Edinburgh Airport at the moment. Excellent set up at security which was a 4 min breeze.
We flew from Edinburgh earlier this year - Canny airport. Used the Fastpark which was a doddle and loads cheaper than Newcastle.

Security was a doddle and there's loads of eating and drinking options once you're through. Got to be the dearest Wetherspoons I've ever been in, mind you.

Edinburgh is class. You can always get canny deals over the English schools holidays as the Scottish schools holidays tend to not overlap exactly.

Works the other way too. We are off to Cyprus from Newcastle next week. A saving of over a grand because we fly from Newcastle instead of Edinburgh.

Last twice I’ve flown from Newcastle it took longer to get my belt back on that it did to get through security.

I never pay for anything because of impatience, the plane still takes off at the same time for everyone.

A lad from our Glasgow office would always ring me to ask my missus if she could beat the price he'd been quoted to fly from there.

She nearly always saved him a few hundred quid on the holiday, even when it involved an extra overnight stay at Newcastle to be ready for an early morning flight.

Gatwick last week with fast track.

Train to champagne in exactly 20 minutes.

That included a trip to the bog, checking in a bag, purchasing currency and security and waddling up to the lounge.
