Just seen this board for a while thanks for the offer, house currently up for sale and had a few people look round but nothing yet - I'm a bit stuck until house sale goes through. Can't be arsed with the Mrs but she's got my eldest not even acknowledging me which is a pain at the moment.

I've said this on here before. I did a career step up at 50, and I did some of the best most satisfying work, I've ever done in my working life. I found at that age I also became a mentor to young engineers, with my experience (life and work), being valuable. Go for it, and good luck.
