Wasn’t this a term which was coined by the people who govern VAR when it was first introduced?

You can’t blame people for using the terminology they told us they were going to make decisions by. Also, there are decisions which ARE clear and obvious errors and decisions which fall under a subjective decision which shouldn’t have the official being overruled on the pitch.
