Centrica’s profits triple to £3.3 Billion

If they are British company we are seem to be seeing benefits of vertical integration as they be on selling to bg at market rates
Again they’ll be profits made all over the world as they have huge interests in fields in Egypt for once

Shareholder dividends should be capped
That would just mean that the profits sit on the balance sheet instead, and could only be realised by liquidating the company.

And of course, all the pension funds and insurance companies that rely on dividends to pay their beneficiaries would have to reduce the benefits they pay out / collect more from customers in the first place.

And there would be an immediate crash in the value of the stock market, wiping out huge chunks of people's savings, requiring employers to top up the few remaining final salary schemes or shut them forever, and probably tipping the country into a bleak depression.

And new or expanding companies would find it very difficult to attract the investment they need, losing out to foreign competitors whose ability to pay dividends is not limited.

Given the above, can you tell me, what are the benefits of you proposal?
